Why fundraise individually?
All of the money our dancers raise goes straight to Children's Hospital at Midtown Medical Center at Columbus Regional Health through Children’s Miracle Network to help treat kids in need. Historically, 80% of AUDM’s total amount fundraised comes from Individual Dancers, which is why every dollar really does make a difference. At the end of the night on February 7, 2015 you will know that you are a part of that number and that you have made a difference in children's lives.

Letter Writing and Emails
One of the most traditional approaches to fundraising is sending typed or hand written letters sending emails. AUDM has a ready-made template for Dancers to use and edit (see PDF below). This letter informs your closest network of friends and family about your involvement in Dance Marathon, and gives them information about your personal DonorDrive.
Canning
Take a can around residence halls or grocery stores to ask people for donations. Ask restaurants if you can leave a can at the register or host station to collect donations. Print out a can cover to make it look official! Make sure you know AUDM's mission before you start. When you have collected your money, take it to Suite 3130 in the Auburn University Student Center, and leave it in a marked envelope with your name and team name in the AUDM Director of Finance box. If you don't see your donation on DonorDrive in 10 days, contact John McNiell, Director of Individual Fundraising, at [email protected]. |
